Usanii Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Welcome to Usanii! Usanii is a platform designed to help artists grow, engage, and monetize their fan communities. Creators on our platform can monetize through tips, selling their art, event tickets, or merchandise. To ensure a safe, fair, and transparent environment for all users, we have established this Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). By using Usanii, you agree to abide by this policy.

1.0 Prohibited Activities

You may not use Usanii to engage in any of the following activities:

a. Illegal or Fraudulent Activities

  • Conduct or promote any activity that violates local, national, or international laws, including anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CTF) regulations.
  • Use the platform to commit fraud, misrepresentation, or any deceptive practices.

b. Harmful or Abusive Behaviour

  • Upload, share, or promote content that is hateful, discriminatory, harassing, defamatory, or violent.
  • Target or exploit individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.

c. Prohibited Content

  • Publish, sell, or distribute content that contains obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit material.
  • Promote or sell controlled substances, illegal drugs, alcohol (where prohibited), weapons, or explosives.
  • Advocate for or promote self-harm, suicide, or any form of physical harm.

d. Financial Misconduct

  • Launder money or use Usanii for unauthorized financial transactions.
  • Create fake accounts to manipulate tips, sales, or other financial metrics.
  • Use the platform to solicit funds for illegal or unauthorized purposes.

e. Intellectual Property Infringement

  • Use copyrighted, trademarked, or otherwise protected content without proper authorization or ownership.
  • Misrepresent your affiliation with other creators or brands.

f. Spamming and Malicious Activities

  • Send unsolicited messages, spam, or phishing communications to fans or other users.
  • Upload or distribute malware, viruses, or any other harmful software.

2.0 User Responsibilities

To maintain a safe and trustworthy community, users must adhere to the following responsibilites:

a. Accurate Information

  • Provide accurate and truthful information during registration and while using Usanii services.
  • Maintain up-to-date account details, including contact and payment information.

b. Transparency in Transactions

  • Clearly describe event tickets, merchandise, or services being offered.
  • Honor commitments to fans and deliver purchased goods or services as promised.

c. Compliance with Laws

  • Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, licensing requirements, and financial reporting obligations.
  • Adhere to anti-money laundering (AML) and conter-terrorism financing (CTF) laws.

3.0 Enforcement and Consequences

Violation of this policy may result in the following actions:

  • Account Suspension or Termination: Usanii reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts involved in prohibited activities.
  • Withholding or Reversing Transactions: Transactions flagged for violations may be withheld, reversed or refunded.
  • Legal Action: Usanii may report unlawful activities to relevant authorities and cooperate fully in any investigations.

4.0 Reporting Violations

If you encounter content or activities on Usanii that violate this policy, please report them immediately via sema@usanii.ke. All reports will be reviewed confidentially and addressed promptly.

5.0 Updates to the Policy

Usanii reserves the right to update this UAP at any time. Changes will be communicated to users via email or through our platform. Continued use of Usanii after updates indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
